Criteria: The RSUA Award-winning CREST Centre (Centre for Renewable and Sustainable Technologies) for South West College in Enniskillen was completed in 2016. The project is one of the most sustainable projects in the UK and Ireland and is the first educational building to achieve the following three sustainable credentials:-
Passivhaus Certified for ultra-low energy efficient building fabric and ventilation system.
BREEAM Excellent in terms of the BRE sustainable benchmark for UK and Ireland commercial buildings.
Net zero energy building requires this building to provide all its required energy requirements from on-site generated renewable energy.
